Speed in post-production is rarely about editing faster. It comes from removing ambiguity before it reaches the timeline.

Build the system before the rush

I begin by defining the deliverables, organizing source material, and separating decisions that need taste from decisions that can become repeatable. Naming, bins, selects, review stages, and export settings should be predictable.

A good system protects the creative energy for the moments that actually need it.

Make the first cut answer one question

The first pass should establish the story. Graphics, polish, and alternate versions come later. When each review has a clear purpose, feedback becomes easier to use and the project keeps moving.

Design for versioning

I build compositions and motion elements with multiple formats in mind. That small investment prevents social, vertical, and cutdown versions from becoming entirely separate projects.
